Open canvas

Thu Mar 5, 2009, 6:19 PM
This entry is just a little ode to Open Canvas or as it is commonly known as Oc. Oc is a great program that lets you draw/paint with other people. *gasp* I have had a few great oc sessions with some amazing artists, and it is quite the treat. (even though i hate digital drawing)

Anywho, it is obvious to me that the easiest way to jump on my artistic career is to be at least proficient in digital drawing/painting. Well, it is easier to get better when what your doing is fun, so I am going to teach you all how to use Oc and even go as far as to invite you to draw with me! just drop me a note.

Ok first you need Hamachi to connect your comps. get that here [link]

Next is this important part. OpenCanvas (oC11b72.exe) – This is an .exe file that doesn’t actually install anything on your computer, but rather, floats, to give you a very portable application that can be easily put on or taken off. It is a piece of software that enables users to draw on different layers and perform all manner of digital artistry techniques with associated tools.
Get that here [link]

I DON’T UNDERSTAND IT!!

If OC is in a foreign language then you will have to change it to English by clicking on the top toolbar at the very top of the OC console you will see that the far left (last option) is: IUIB(H). Click it and then select English, Job done!
